Abstract
In the process of landscape design, there are always
ideas and designs in the mind that directly or indirectly influence the
designer. It goes without saying that not all of these are suitable for all the
spaces to be designed and the designer is supposed to define these thoughts and
intelligently apply them to the correct places. These basic designs may have
been originated from the sight of the first beautiful garden, a painting, a
piece of music heard or even a dream one has had. The ideas and designs of
landscape design are to be obtained from information extracted from the local
geographic, agricultural, topographic, environmental and anthropological
studies in relation to the designer’s mental and philosophical approach toward
nature, landscape, aesthetics and composition _ the problems to be answered_
together with the hidden feeling in the given responses and targets. The
thoughts should be realized; i.e. change from theory to practice. Sometimes,
this transformation is not easily possible to the expected extent or needs more
time to take place. However, what is quite clearly dealt with in this article
is the position of idealization toward reaching a suitable landscape design.
